Firmware update Process with Dyname Connect

Tools needed:
o Windows PC with Windows 10.0 or newer installed.
o Dyname Connect app, installed on the same device as above.
o Dyname Connect tool.
o 2.5mm Allen key.
**Note: There is a link next to the “Detect Bike” button in the Dyname Connect app which leads to an
instructional video for the below process. Please use it alongside these instructions.
1. Open the Dyname Connect app and connect the tool to the PC via a USB-A port.
2. Remove the Jumbotron mounting screw.
• Use the 2.5mm Allen key to remove the screw, then lift the Jumbotron out of the frame to expose
the cable connections.
3. Connect the Dyname Connect tool to the bike.
• Using the two compatible connectors, install the tool between the downtube cable and the
jumbotron.
4. Update the firmware.
• Check that both LEDs on the tool are illuminated. This should happen immediately after
completing the connections to the downtube cable and Jumbotron.
• Click on “Detect Bike” in the app.
• The app will now scan the bike and suggest any available updates.
• Click on “Update Devices” to begin the firmware update.
• DO NOT disconnect the cables during this process.
• Once the process is complete, you can safely disconnect the tool from the bike.
5. Disconnect the tool, reinstall the Jumbotron, and close the app.
• Remove the Dyname Connect tool from the bike and restore the connection between the
Jumbotron and the downtube cable.
• Seat the Jumbotron in the top tube and install the mounting screw [tighten to <1Nm].
• Disconnect the tool from the PC, and close the app.
